To accompany A Small and Quiet Light, acknowledged SOE historian Sheryl Green will present an exclusive Noor Khan Talk & SOE Tour at the museum. Combining an engaging, illustrated talk with a guided tour of the museum’s SOE collection, Sheryl will reveal how Noor was recruited and trained, the controversy surrounding the decision to send her to France and all that she achieved once there. During the course of the afternoon, Sheryl will also explain the clandestine air operations through RAF Tangmere with stories of the agents and personnel involved, highlighting the immense courage required by all those involved; pilots and agents alike.
NB The talk will start at 10:45 and last around 60 minutes. Following the talk, Sheryl will host a tour of the SOE exhibits in the museum lasting around 30 minutes. To ensure that Sheryl is able to give an engaging tour and dependent on the number of attendees, it may be split into 3 groups of upto 15 which will run at 12:00, 14:00 and 15:00. Places on each tour will be allocated in order of booking. Attendees will be able to enjoy the rest of the exhibits in the museum or spend time in the cafe while they wait.
