TICKETS for TRAIN RUNNING DAYS.
On this page you can only buy advance train tickets for our Green and Maroon timetable days. Tickets for special events cannot be purchased on this page.
Please note that the purchase of tickets in advance does not give you reserved seats or priority boarding on any train. You can travel on any of our ordinary trains on the day specified of your visit. Tickets purchased in advance are non refundable but do offer a 5% discount up until the day before.
How to book your tickets:
1) Choose the date of your visit on the calendar grid below. You can buy tickets for dates coloured green. The tickets will be dated for the date you have chosen and cannot be used on any other date. The system will show you the available fares on your chosen day. However, once you have made your booking, if you subsequently need to the change the date of your booking you can do so by contacting us via email - details of how to do this will be on your booking confirmation.
2) Choose the tickets you require.
3) Check you agree to the Terms and Conditions of booking. They detail your cancellation, refund and amendment rights, amongst other important details. There will be a tick box during the booking process which also provides a link to them.
4) Once booked you will be sent a confirmation email and reference number, which you will need to bring with you when you come, in order to collect your tickets from either Dereham or Wymondham Abbey ticket offices.
As a registered charity, Mid Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you spend! This allows us to help carry on looking after the railway and ensuring it is here for future generations. Please note: You can only choose the Gift Aid option if you are purchasing tickets for yourself and your family and making a donation to the charity. By selecting the Gift Aid option below you are confirming that your party only includes yourself and family members.
Please treat my payment as a Gift Aid donation. I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. (April 6 2026 April 5 2027)
Please do not treat my payment as a Gift Aid donation.
