Alford Cavalcade

Thanks to the success of our 40th Birthday Cavalcade last year, we have decided to bring the Cavalcade back again!

The Alford Cavalcade dates back to the inception of the museum as a fundraising vintage vehicle rally and is part of our transport heritage. Join us to celebrate vehicles from throughout the ages, no matter how many wheels or how big or small they are! To enter without the donation, please complete the paper form on the event page on the website.

Please note: a maximum of 2 adults are permitted to visit with each vehicle entered. Your entry gives you 1 ticket which gives complimentary access to the museum for 1 person. Any additional adults will be charged the event admission rate on arrival at the gate.

What is Gift Aid?

Are you a UK tax payer? If so, every £1 you give could be worth £1.25 to us, helping us fund our charitable work.

Gift Aid is a form of tax relief and, as a charity, we are able to claim back the tax on your admission to the garden as we can class your admission as a “charitable donation”.

We can claim back Gift Aid on your “donation” as long as you have agreed to pay the higher admission price that includes an additional 10% donation.

Regulations laid down by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) require all charitable attractions to ask visitors for an additional 10% donation on their admission before Gift Aid can be claimed.

By claiming Gift Aid on your donation we will gain an additional 25p for every £1 you have given us. This money will help fund our valuable charitable work.

Gift aid declaration

Please treat my payment as a Gift Aid donation. I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for the current tax year (April 6 2024 to April 5 2025) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs will reclaim on my gifts for this tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give. I acknowledge that these Gift Aided tickets are for myself or members of my family.
